As announced by the US Army Corps of Engineers HEC
“HEC is conducting research in the area of sediment transport analyses in order to improve the Corps’ ability to perform sediment studies. Give the complexity of this field, we felt that it would be advantageous to have a visiting scholar that is an expert in the field of sediment transport come to HEC and assist us in this effort. The objective would be for the visiting scholar to help guide us in the development of sediment transport capabilities that will be added into our HEC-RAS software.” Tony Thomas was invited to take up residence at HEC for six months to accomplish this task.
